Research Associate – Executive Search

London | Up to £40,000 basic | Hybrid – 3 days in the office

I’m working with a high-quality, boutique executive search and leadership advisory firm in London that is looking to hire a Research Associate as part of its continued growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 12 months’ experience in recruitment, executive search or a research-led environment who wants to build a long-term career within retained executive search.

The business operates a retained-only model, working closely with clients on senior leadership appointments. It combines the feel and autonomy of a boutique with an international reach and network.

The opportunity

As a Research Associate, you’ll work directly with experienced Partners and senior consultants across live executive search mandates.

This is much more than a traditional name-generation or sourcing position. You’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of an executive search, including client briefings, market mapping, candidate identification and qualification, candidate management, research and market intelligence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
