Labcorp is seeking a Research Associate to join our Safety Pharmacology team at Alconbury, Cambridgeshire.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm (37.5 hours).
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform cross-site pre-clinical studies according to study plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory guidance.
- Perform a wide range of pharmacological in vivo techniques in compliance with the United Kingdom Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and associated Codes of Practice.
- Contribute to the design and customization of animal model study plans for sponsors.
- Coordinate both regulatory and discovery studies.
- Prepare accurate, high-quality scientific reports for sponsors and internal stakeholders using data capture and data processing software.
- Maintain high-quality, accurate records in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
- BSc in Pharmacology or an equivalent scientific discipline.
Additional Job Standards:
- Knowledge of Safety Pharmacology and/or Respiratory Disease Pharmacology preferred.
- Previous experience working within a GLP-regulated laboratory environment is desirable.
- Home Office Licence Holder (PIL A) is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively, train others, and challenge constructively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
