Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to join our UK & Ireland team. Our principal office is in central London, with an additional office in Aberdeen.
Working closely with Consultants and Partners across the UK, Ireland and internationally, you will play a key role in shaping search strategies, mapping talent markets, identifying and engaging senior talent, and supporting the delivery of high-quality client work. You will also contribute to business development activity through market insight, research and the preparation of client materials and proposals.
- Experience in executive search, recruitment, or in-house talent acquisition or resourcing would be highly advantageous.
- However, we are equally interested in individuals who bring strong intellectual curiosity, a methodical and well-structured approach, excellent communication skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to plan and deliver projects within demanding timelines.
- We would therefore welcome applications from candidates outside our immediate sector who can demonstrate the aptitude and potential to succeed in executive search.
