Research Community & Panel Manager | Affluent & HNW Consumer Insight

UK based, remote or hybrid (London) | Full time, permanent

My client is a specialist global research and strategy consultancy focused on affluent, high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth consumers. Its clients are some of the best-known names in luxury fashion, watches and jewellery, beauty, hospitality and travel, automotive and financial services.

Over the years the business has built up thousands of affluent and HNW members across its key markets, who take part in its qual and quant research. The problem is that this community is still largely run market by market in spreadsheets. This new role exists to change that. You'll take what is currently a set of lists and turn it into a properly run, verified and actively engaged research community, on the right platform, that can be put to work on client projects quickly and reliably.

This is a build role, not a maintenance role. You'll be the person who owns it.

What you'll do:

  • Choose and implement a panel or community management platform and move the existing membership onto it.
  • Set up profiling, screening and verification so the business knows exactly who its members are and can trust the data.
  • Design the engagement programme, including incentives, rewards, communications and feedback loops, so members stay active and respond when projects go live.
  • Grow membership across markets through digital recruitment, referral and partnerships with organisations that already reach affluent audiences.
  • Work closely with the research and commercial teams so the community is ready for each upcoming project.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you must have:

  • Hands-on experience managing a research panel or insight community, ideally one you have built, relaunched or migrated onto a new platform.
  • A track record of keeping members engaged and responsive over time, and the numbers to show for it.
  • Experience recruiting members and running profiling, screening, quality checks and verification.
  • Working knowledge of panel or community platforms and the incentive tools that go with them.
  • Around seven years' experience in panel management, online communities, research operations or a closely related area.

What would be a bonus:

  • Experience with affluent, HNW or other hard-to-reach audiences, whether consumer or B2B.
  • Experience across international markets.
  • A commercial, entrepreneurial streak and ideas about where affluent consumers can be found and how to win their time.

To be clear about the fit: this is a market research role. Strong candidates will come from research panels, online community agencies, insight teams that run their own panels, or expert networks. If your background is in members' clubs, concierge, hospitality or membership sales without research panel experience, this one will not be the right match.

Why it is worth a look:

You'll own a unique asset from the ground up, with real autonomy over how it is built, and work day to day alongside some of the world's leading luxury and premium brands.
