Data Manager

Band 5 1.0 WTE

Fixed-Term (maternity leave cover)

Do you want to further your career in clinical research as part of a team at the forefront of discovery of ground-breaking therapies for childhood and rare diseases?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Manager to join our dynamic multidisciplinary research team at the NIHR Clinical Research Facility based in Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. This cutting-edge Research facility provides a high-quality, clinical environment, in which children and young people can take part in research programmes safely and effectively, according to robust and ethically approved protocols.

The post-holder will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of clinical research studies across the Trust. Working closely with research coordinators, investigators, research nurses, and other clinical and non-clinical staff, the Data Manager will be responsible for the accurate collection, entry, validation, and maintenance of clinical trial data, ensuring that study databases are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory and protocol requirements.

The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple studies simultaneously while maintaining high standards of data quality and confidentiality. Experience of clinical research data management, electronic data capture systems, and working within Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines would be highly advantageous.

This position would be ideal for an experienced Data Manager with a background in clinical research who is looking to contribute to innovative pediatric research in a supportive and collaborative environment. Based in central London, GOSH offers flexible working arrangements, support with childcare and travel, and excellent training and development opportunities.
