JOB Details:

Job Type: Annual Contractor (with possibility of renewal)

Work Timings & Days: 9:00–17:00 CET or 14:00–21:00 CET, 5 days a week


JOB PURPOSE:

Acuity Analytics is hiring a Senior Editor to join its Sell-side Research and Operations team. We are seeking an experienced financial research editor with expertise across equity, fixed income, macroeconomic, and strategy research. The successful candidate will combine editorial judgment with a strong understanding of investment research compliance, publication standards, and capital markets. The role requires the ability to review, challenge, and enhance investment research content, manage publication workflows and collaborate with research, compliance, legal, and technology stakeholders in a fast-paced global environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Edit, review, and oversee the publication of equity, fixed income, macroeconomic, strategy, and thematic research reports
  • Review research for clarity, style, consistency, factual accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulatory and internal standards
  • Examine investment theses, valuation arguments, forecasts, and recommendations for clarity, consistency, and appropriate support from the underlying analyses, assumptions, and risk disclosures
  • Ensure research recommendations are fair, clear, and not misleading, and do not contain promissory, exaggerated, or inadequately substantiated statements
  • Partner with analysts, heads of research, compliance, legal, supervisory analysts, and publishing teams to finalize research outputs
  • Maintain and contribute to editorial standards, style guides, and best practices that enhance research quality and operational efficiency
  • Support research publication workflows across internal and external platforms and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Liaise with technology and platform support teams to ensure the efficient functioning of research publishing systems and tools

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Exceptional editing skills, with strong attention to detail and ownership of deliverables
  • Strong understanding of equity, fixed income, and macroeconomic research, including financial markets, investment research conventions, and regulatory considerations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior analysts, heads of research, and control functions
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and professional judgment skills, including the confidence to challenge content where appropriate
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines, and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across global and virtual teams
  • Familiarity with AI tools and usage
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and research publishing platforms, with the ability to adapt quickly to proprietary publishing and workflow management systems
