- You know when to zoom into the detail and when to step back and see the bigger picture, making sound judgements about priorities, risks and what matters most.
- You're passionate about turning evidence into impact, communicating findings through compelling publications, presentations and external engagement, and representing an organisation in public forums.
- You bring a strong research foundation, with a Masters or PhD or relevant real world experience, alongside the curiosity, collaboration and drive to find what works to build financial security low- and moderate-income households in the UK.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The team is passionate about the work we do and proud of what we are achieving. We are innovative thinkers, not afraid to challenge the status quo. We work flexibly, creatively and collaboratively. We are committed to supporting each other to learn and develop.
Our findings are shared widely and freely to help inform industry and policymakers so that people around the world can benefit from our work. We amplify our learnings and spark debate through our publications and digital media and by convening events that bring together industry, academics and policymakers.
The depth and breadth of our research garners attention. Our work is regularly covered by national media and financial trade outlets.
Whilst Inclusive Money is a business unit of Nest Corporation, we are responsible for raising our own operating budget through sponsorships, grants and in-kind support from organisations with similar research interests, goals and values.
