The IPA is looking for an exceptional Research Manager

The IPA is looking for an exceptional Research Manager to join our Research team and play a pivotal role in delivering some of the industry’s most influential research programmes.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced market researcher or insight professional who enjoys combining project management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. You will work at the heart of the advertising and media ecosystem, helping to deliver IPA TouchPoints, the UK’s flagship audience and media consumption study, alongside a range of industry benchmarking and member research projects.

Working closely with leading research partners including Ipsos, Kantar, RSMB, and Telmar, you will oversee complex research programmes from questionnaire design and preparation through to quality assurance, analysis, and reporting. You will also represent the IPA with member agencies, research bodies, and industry working groups, helping shape conversations that influence the future of media planning and measurement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
