About KI

Kids Industries (KI) is The Family Fandom Agency. For more than twenty years we've focused on one audience, the family, with one team bringing Insight, Strategy and Creative together under one roof. This focus means our clients get deeper knowledge, faster answers and none of the generalist guesswork.

We take our clients into the world of their audience, connecting real consumer truths to their market realities; then we turn that understanding into products, experiences and brands that children and parents love.

We create award-winning work and have a good time doing it, taking the work but not ourselves too seriously.

Why this role, and why you

This role is for someone who enjoys the craft of research: designing thoughtful studies, moderating skilfully, getting up close to the evidence and turning it into stories that help clients make better decisions. You’ll own projects from brief to debrief, with the support of the Senior Team along the way. You’ll manage day-to-day client relationships and collaborate closely with colleagues across the Insight, Strategy and Creative teams - pulling everything together to deliver first-class work.

One week you might moderate children for a global entertainment brand; the next, analyse an international survey or help a food, gaming or travel client turn audience understanding into a new proposition. The common thread is research that must be rigorous, imaginative, and commercially useful. With the spectrum of projects we undertake, there is plenty of room to grow into more complex work and toward more senior roles within the agency.

What you'll be doing

  • Own and deliver research projects autonomously, from design and materials through to delivery, keeping quality, timing and budget on track across more than one project at a time.
  • Translate client questions into the right methodology, and build strong screeners, discussion guides, stimulus and surveys.
  • Moderate across formats such as focus groups, depth interviews, online communities, or global field surveys, adapting for everyone from a five-year-old to a group of grandparents.
  • Lead analysis and reporting, turning qualitative and quantitative evidence into accurate, actionable stories, working with Strategy and Creative to connect insight to the wider commercial challenge.
  • Be a trusted day-to-day client contact, and brief and manage research partners and suppliers, including on international and multi-market projects.
  • Delegate meaningfully to junior colleagues and help them develop, and contribute to proposals and new business as you build your commercial judgement.
  • Explore new methods and sensible AI-assisted ways of working, using AI to create efficiencies and free up time for deeper thinking, never to replace your own judgement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Qualitative, quantitative, or both

Our ideal is someone comfortable across both qualitative and quantitative research who can choose the right approach for a brief. That said, if your strength sits firmly on one side, that’s great too. A brilliant qualie or a brilliant quantie is just as welcome, so please don't hold back from applying.

What you'll bring

  • Solid market research experience owning projects end to end, whether as a newly appointed Research Manager or a Senior Research Executive ready to step up.
  • A strong understanding of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, with real expertise in at least one and a willingness to keep building both.
  • Confident, adaptable moderation and a genuine interest in research with children and families, with the ability to explain and defend your methodological choices.
  • A sharp analytical mind that looks beyond the data to the meaning and the impact it can create for a client.
  • Strong client communication and presentation skills, in writing and in person.
  • Excellent organisation and composure, able to prioritise, juggle projects and stay calm when agency life gets lively.
  • Genuine curiosity about our clients and the changing lives of children and families, and comfort using AI and new technology without relying on it.
  • Bonus, not essential: international or multi-market research, work with children's, family or entertainment brands, and experience contributing to proposals. If you don't match every point, please don't count yourself out. We're interested in the quality of your thinking, the ownership you've already shown and the expertise you want to keep building.
