Research Manager | Pharma/Healthcare Market Research & Strategy | London/hybrid
I’m working with a growing specialist healthcare market research and brand strategy consultancy that is looking to add a Research Manager to its UK team.
This is a mid-sized, privately owned business that has grown year-on-year since launch, with a strong client base across pharma and wider healthcare. It’s a very different environment to the larger research agencies — more hands-on and a culture where everyone mucks in on projects, less hierarchy and politics, and a team where people have genuine visibility and influence.
The team is busy and growing, so they’re looking for someone who can get stuck into projects from day one and take real ownership as they develop.
The role
- Manage and deliver both qualitative and quantitative healthcare market research projects
- Take ownership of smaller projects and workstreams from design through to delivery
- Manage day-to-day client relationships and become a trusted point of contact
- Develop questionnaires, screeners, discussion guides and other research materials
- Analyse findings and identify the story and commercial implications behind the data
- Contribute to reports, presentations and recommendations
- Present findings and lead client discussions
- Get involved in proposals, pitches and account development
- Support and mentor more junior researchers
- Use AI and new technology to improve research delivery — experience is useful, but curiosity and willingness to embrace it is more important

Ideal profile:
- 4+ years’ experience in healthcare / pharma market research
- Solid experience across both qualitative and quantitative research
- Someone who enjoys being hands-on with the research rather than moving into a purely strategic or management role
- Comfortable managing projects, taking ownership and dealing directly with clients
- Strong communicator who can turn research and data into a clear, compelling story
- Commercially minded, organised and proactive
- Personable, switched-on and someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
