Job Opportunity: Research Nurse
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Research Nurse to join the R & D team for 37.5 hours/week as maternity cover within the gastroenterology and stroke team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse to develop and expand their career in clinical research. This post will be offered either as a Band 6 or a Band 5-6 developmental role depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver a diverse portfolio of studies, both commercial and non-commercial to help improve patient care and outcomes.
- Manage a portfolio of research studies autonomously in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Assess and manage the care pathways for patients and carers participating in trials.
- Facilitate high standards of nursing care and promote continuity of care.
- Recruit, educate, and monitor trial patients.
- Collect and document accurate research data.
- Develop relevant skills and knowledge relating to clinical trials, research methodology, and research regulations.
- Promote continued improvement in the care of research participants and quality of research data.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic Research Nurse with both relevant clinical and research experience. They need to be organised, self-motivated, and aspire to further their knowledge and career in Clinical Research. Experience in gastroenterology and/or stroke is preferable.
