About the Role

This is an exciting time to join the Research Office. Sitting at the heart of the University's research mission, we are continuing to develop how we work and how we deliver our services, with an ambitious programme of change and improvement ahead of us.

We are looking for an experienced Projects Manager to help turn those ambitions into reality.

You will lead a varied portfolio of strategic projects across the Research Office, taking projects from initial scoping and planning through to delivery and implementation. Working closely with senior leaders, subject matter experts and operational teams, you will bring structure and momentum to complex initiatives, coordinate people and resources, manage risks and dependencies, and keep delivery on track.

This is a role for someone who enjoys making things happen. You will be comfortable working across organisational boundaries, bringing together colleagues with different perspectives and priorities, and finding practical ways forward when the answer is not always straightforward. You will also work closely with the Transforming Research Support Programme, making sure that projects align with and contribute to wider organisational change.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
