Job Title: Research Platform Business Analyst - Laboratory Information Management Systems (LiMS)

About the Role:
As Research Business Analyst, you will act as a key member of LifeArc’s technology team to support the Therapeutic Platforms (TP) laboratory informatics platforms and data sciences pipelines.
You will develop the laboratory informatics data model from raw data to published research whilst designing, maintaining and evolving the laboratory informatics systems. You will be the technology subject matter expert for the informatics system expansion projects and deploy new data analysis workflows. This role will also play a big role in helping design laboratories during our move to our new lab-enabled facility in Central London in 2027. You will also work cross-functionally and collaboratively with the Data Sciences team, TP subject matter experts and the Project Management Office to support the development of laboratory informatics data models and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laboratory information management system (LiMS) administration supporting over 100 scientists including new function design, implementation and documentation.
- Expansion of laboratory information system capabilities inline with evolving scientific needs and our move to a new office.
- Support for science software portfolio modernisation and evolution.
- Act as a product owner or subject matter expert across LiMS to understand scientists needs and utilise the systems effectively.

(Essential) Experience Required:
- Significant experience working in complex or niche IT systems with a proven track record of delivering system changes/system implementation.
- Experience working as a business analyst for IT systems within diverse matrix teams.
- A demonstrable history of collaboratively designing workflows with end users and implementing them.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience of LiMS administration – ideally being a product owner or subject matter expert in a life science or pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience working as a Business Analyst delivering complex IT change projects.
- Practised in working with data engineering to deliver functioning Data pipelines.
- Ideally experience in design, administration and evolution of Revvity and/or Mosaic.
Education:
ISEB or BSc Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent professional qualification
