Research Product Manager - Assistant Vice President
Citi is looking for a Research Product Manager at the Assistant Vice President level to join the EMEA Research Product Management team, playing a meaningful role in shaping the commercial strategy, client relevance, and market positioning of Citi's research franchise across Western Europe and CEEMEA.
Sitting at the intersection of Research, Sales and Trading, this role combines market insights, fundamental analytical skills, data-driven analysis, and commercial awareness to strengthen client engagement and grow franchise impact. Working closely with senior Research management, the successful candidate will help identify opportunities to enhance Citi's research offering, improve the visibility and consumption of research content, and support strategic initiatives that contribute to franchise growth.
The role is ideally suited to a finance professional with strong equity markets knowledge and fundamental research skills, potentially from a Sector Research, Equity Strategy, Institutional Sales, or related Markets background, who is looking to apply that expertise in a broader strategic and franchise management capacity.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the EMEA Research product strategy by identifying opportunities to enhance the commercial impact and market positioning of Citi Research across the region.
- Build and maintain franchise analytics covering pipeline tracking, market share analysis, thematic and event look-back reviews, client engagement metrics, and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic priorities.
- Analyse business and client data to produce actionable insights that guide content strategy, franchise decisions, and senior management reporting.
- Partner with sector analysts, equity strategists and product management colleagues to identify key investment themes, share best practices, and support initiatives that enhance the visibility, relevance and commercial impact of Citi's research.
- Develop high-quality pitch books, franchise presentations, and best-practice materials that articulate the breadth and value of Citi Research to internal and external audiences.
- Coordinate cross-sector and thematic research initiatives, bringing differentiated investment ideas to market through structured, well-managed delivery.
- Manage franchise communications including research podcasts, marketing campaigns, and cross-department publication efforts to maximise audience engagement.
- Monitor market developments, investor trends and client feedback to identify opportunities for content enhancement, innovation and franchise growth.
- Evaluate and support the adoption of new technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to improve research workflows, content delivery, and client engagement.
- Contribute to research commercialisation, distribution and client engagement initiatives designed to broaden franchise reach and increase business impact.
- Support senior Research management on strategic projects and broader business priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
