Company Description
Lead Design Organisation (LDO) focuses on solving constraints in infrastructure use to create stress-free experiences for all end users. The organisation designs and evaluates systems that support both daily and occasional commuters, ensuring they are equally considered and supported. LDO’s work emphasises user-centred research, practical problem-solving, and improvements in accessibility and reliability. Team members collaborate across disciplines to better understand how people interact with infrastructure and to propose meaningful, scalable improvements.
Role Description
This is a remote Research Project role. The role involves planning and executing research activities focused on infrastructure contracts. Tasks include:

- Gathering and analysing qualitative and quantitative data
- Mapping contract strategies for alliancing and collaboration frameworks
- Identifying constraints and pain points
- Documenting findings in clear reports and presentations

The role also includes:
- Collaborating with design and engineering teams
- Contributing to solution ideation
- Supporting the development of prototypes or recommendations based on research insights
Qualifications
- Ability to conduct user-centred research, including interviews, surveys, observations, and data analysis.
- Skills in organising and synthesising research findings into clear insights, reports, and visual presentations.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in accessible language.
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment, managing time and multiple tasks effectively.
- Background in fields such as collaboration-centred contract design, in transport, sociology, or related disciplines is beneficial.
- Familiarity with basic statistical methods or research tools (e.g., spreadsheets, survey platforms, collaboration tools) is an advantage.
- Demonstrated interest in improving infrastructure, accessibility, and commuter experiences.
