About the Role

A successful biopharmaceutical company is looking for an Associate Scientist to join its In-Process Analytical Sciences team, supporting CMC process development activities for antibody-based therapeutics.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of biologic drug substances, supporting well-characterised manufacturing processes from pre-clinical development through to clinical studies and process validation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting analytical testing activities for antibody-based drug substance process development
  • Generating accurate, timely experimental data in line with documented procedures
  • Delivering and sharing project data to support scientific interpretation and decision-making
  • Compiling results for technical reports and publications
  • Maintaining high-quality laboratory documentation, including electronic laboratory notebooks and training records
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues across process sciences and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Applying technical problem-solving skills to support ongoing development and manufacturing activities

What we’re looking for

  • A scientific degree in a relevant discipline, such as biochemistry, biotechnology, biological sciences or similar
  • Laboratory-based experience within a pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or academic environment, with hands-on experience of HPLC, ELISA, iCE, Gel Electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE and other related techniques
  • Strong attention to detail, with experience of accurate data generation and record keeping
  • The ability to follow documented procedures and work effectively within a regulated environment
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to share scientific findings with colleagues

Experience supporting biologics, antibody therapeutics, CMC development, analytical sciences, process development or GMP environments would be highly desirable.

Additional Information

This role is offered on an initial 12-month contract and will be based in Slough. Please note that the company anticipates relocating its offices to Windlesham, Surrey in 2027/2028, subject to confirmation.
