Research Scientist - HEOR Decision Modelling

United Kingdom, remote or hybrid (London, England office)

Join Our Dynamic HEOR Team as a Research Scientist!

Are you a self-starter with a passion for projects involving innovative methods in health economics and evidence synthesis? Our Evidence Synthesis and Decision Modelling team is seeking a Research Scientist (Health Economic Modelling) to join our group of industry-leading professionals. You will collaborate with a highly specialized team of health economists, statisticians and researchers in methodologically innovative projects for our pharma and biotech clients. You will contribute to diverse projects including cost-effectiveness analyses and budget impact analyses to support HTA submissions and payer decisions, early economic analyses, treatment sequencing analyses, and generalised cost-effectiveness analyses incorporating novel elements of value.

Why Join Us?

  • Innovative Culture: Experience the fast-paced and dynamic environment of a start-up within a well-funded, established global organization.
  • Passionate Team: Work with a team that has a real passion for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and prides itself on being visionary leaders in the field.
  • Growth Opportunities: Be part of a growing, high performing team where you’ll have the opportunity to tackle complex methodological challenges.

About You:

  • Experienced Consultant: You have a background in HEOR, with a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and medical affairs.
  • HEOR Research Experience: You have experience performing targeted literature reviews to identify and summarize model inputs and methodologies used in previous health technology assessments. You can identify considerations relevant to the model development given available evidence and can work with senior leads to conceptualize the design of cost-effectiveness models and budget impact models. You have experience programming, parameterizing, and validating economic models. You can conduct analyses, interpret the findings, and communicate the results.
  • Deliverable Creation: You contribute to the development of client-ready study deliverables such as model protocols, economic models, slide decks, technical reports, and peer-reviewed publications under the guidance of senior team members. You pay attention to detail and perform quality checks of your own work and that of others.
  • Technical Proficiency: You demonstrate proficiency in programming economic models in Microsoft Excel (experience in R would be a plus). You have strong skills in preparing written documentation and presenting results using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Effective Communicator: You can interpret and communicate study results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project and Time Management: You assist with the delivery of components of projects by collaborating with other team members to ensure high quality outputs. You ensure timely delivery of project components by flagging changes to estimates of required hours.
  • Client Management: You contribute to client management by preparing slides for client meetings under guidance from senior team members, drafting meeting minutes and summarizing action items. You communicate with clients on calls and sometimes support senior team members in responding to client emails.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
