Researcher – Executive Search – Retained Mandates
Brighton | Hybrid – 3 days in office | £30,000 - £40,000 + DOE
My client is an established executive search business looking for a Researcher to join their Brighton team.
This is a great opportunity for a recruiter from any specialist market who wants to move away from traditional contingent recruitment and learn retained executive search properly.
The business works on senior-level international mandates, with around 63% of assignments retained and an average fee of circa £37k. The work is therefore much more focused on detailed market mapping, research, intelligence and identifying hard-to-reach senior talent.
You’ll work closely with one of the business’s highest-performing consultants, supporting them across their searches and developing a genuine understanding of the market.

The Opportunity
- Research and map specialist international markets

Who They’re Looking For
You could currently be working within any specialist recruitment market. Previous executive search experience isn’t essential.
More important is that you’re bright, curious, commercially minded and enjoy the research and investigative side of recruitment.

This would particularly suit someone who likes recruitment but is less interested in high-volume business development and wants to develop their career within a more research-led, retained search environment.
The business operates a hybrid model with three days per week in its Brighton office, has a very strong L&D culture and is nearly 50% colleague owned.
