Adam Byatt Restaurants - Reservations & Events Manager

We are looking for an organised and highly personable Reservations & Events Manager to join our Head Office team that looks after Trinity, Trinity Upstairs, Bistro Union, Rosina and external events.

This is a key role responsible for overseeing the guest journey from the very first enquiry, ensuring reservations, private dining and events are managed with warmth, professionalism and exceptional attention to detail.

Working across the restaurant group, the Reservations & Events Manager will maximise restaurant occupancy, develop private dining and event business, manage key guest relationships and ensure every enquiry is converted and delivered to the highest possible standard.

The role will work closely with Adam Byatt, the Operations Director, General Managers, restaurant teams and the wider Head Office team.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee reservations and booking enquiries across the restaurant group.
  • Manage telephone, email and online reservation enquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Ensure all guest correspondence reflects the tone and standards of Adam Byatt Restaurants.
  • Develop an excellent understanding of each restaurant, its menus, spaces and guest experience.
  • Proactively manage reservation books to maximise covers and revenue while maintaining the quality of the guest experience.
  • Monitor cancellations, waitlists, table utilisation and booking patterns.
  • Identify VIPs, regular guests and special occasions, ensuring relevant information is communicated to restaurant teams.
  • Build strong relationships with regular guests, concierges, PAs and other key bookers.
  • Work closely with restaurant management teams to ensure accurate handover of guest requirements and special requests.

Private dining and events

  • Manage enquiries for private dining, exclusive hire, group bookings and special events from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to incoming event enquiries.
  • Prepare proposals, menus, pricing and event information for prospective clients.
  • Conduct site visits and confidently present the restaurants and private dining spaces.
  • Understand each client's requirements and create tailored events and experiences.
  • Coordinate menus, beverages, timings, room layouts, dietary requirements, entertainment and other event details.
  • Produce detailed event briefs and ensure clear communication with FOH, kitchen and management teams.
  • Maintain contact with clients throughout the planning process and provide a seamless handover to the operational team.
  • Follow up after events and develop opportunities for repeat business.

Administration and Systems

  • Maintain accurate reservation and event records.
  • Ensure deposits, contracts, minimum spends and cancellation terms are clearly communicated and recorded.
  • Coordinate event payments and deposits with restaurant and finance teams.
  • Maintain organised event calendars and forward planners.
  • Produce weekly summaries of upcoming events and significant bookings.
  • Ensure guest data is handled appropriately and in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Develop efficient processes for managing reservations and event enquiries across the group.

We are looking for someone who combines exceptional organisation with genuine hospitality.

You will be confident communicating with guests and clients at all levels and comfortable managing multiple enquiries, restaurants and events simultaneously.

You should be:

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with restaurant teams.
  • Passionate about restaurants, food, wine and hospitality.

Previous experience within restaurant reservations, private dining, events, luxury hospitality or a similar guest-facing role is necessary.

Success in this role will mean:

  • Strong and consistent reservation management across the restaurants.
  • Increased conversion of private dining and event enquiries.
  • Growth in event and group booking revenue.
  • Excellent communication between clients and restaurant teams.
  • Increased repeat business from corporate and private clients.
  • Strong relationships with VIPs, PAs, concierges and key bookers.
  • A consistently polished guest experience from first enquiry through to departure.

Above all, the Reservations & Events Manager should become a trusted point of contact for our guests — someone who understands our restaurants, knows our regulars and helps create memorable experiences while driving commercial opportunities for the group.

Monday to Friday 9-6pm

Salary between £35k - £45k dependant on experience.
