As Reservations Manager (Maternity Cover) at Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, you will lead the Reservations team in delivering outstanding service while maximising room revenue and occupancy. Working closely with the Director of Revenue, you will oversee day-to-day reservation operations, identify booking trends and opportunities, and ensure every guest interaction reflects the exceptional standards of the Nobu brand.

This is a 12-month maternity cover opportunity and an exciting chance for a commercially minded hospitality professional to play a key role within one of London's leading luxury lifestyle hotels. Proposed start in late November 2026

You will

  • Lead and develop the Reservations team, creating a positive, high-performing and guest-focused culture.
  • Oversee the efficient day-to-day operation of the Reservations department and ensure service standards are consistently achieved.
  • Manage room reservations to maximise occupancy, revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor booking patterns and trends, identifying opportunities to optimise performance and drive revenue.
  • Support revenue management activities and deputise for the Director of Revenue when required.
  • Ensure the reservations team actively promotes and cross-sells other hotel services and facilities.
  • Manage departmental rotas effectively, ensuring staffing levels are aligned with business demands and labour budgets.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of OPERA and ensure all reservation data is accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor guest feedback and reviews, identifying opportunities to improve service and recognise success.
  • Support training, coaching and development across the Reservations team, encouraging growth and progression.
  • Build strong relationships with Front Office and other hotel departments to enhance communication and guest experience.
  • Develop and maintain Reservations SOPs and standards, ensuring consistent operation across the department.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy and guest satisfaction.
  • Act as an ambassador for Nobu values of Family, Crafted, Smile and Kokoro.

What We're Looking For

  • You have experience in Reservations, Revenue or Front Office leadership within a luxury hotel environment and possess a strong understanding of hotel operations, guest service and revenue performance.
  • You are commercially aware, highly organised and confident leading a team.
  • With strong communication skills and attention to detail, you can balance operational excellence with an exceptional guest experience.
  • Knowledge of OPERA and hotel reservation systems is highly beneficial.
  • You are passionate about hospitality, enjoy developing others and thrive in a fast-paced environment where service and performance go hand in hand.
