Job Description

Reservations Supervisor, Fairmont Cheshire – The Mere

Supporting the Reservations Manager and working closely with the Reservations and Front Office teams, you will help lead the day-to-day reservations operation, ensuring enquiries and bookings are handled with warmth, confidence, and meticulous attention to detail. You will support and coach colleagues, maximise revenue opportunities, maintain accurate reservation records, and ensure every guest interaction reflects Fairmont’s standards of contemporary luxury hospitality.

We are looking for an engaging and organised hospitality professional with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine passion for creating personalised guest experiences. Previous reservations or front office experience within a luxury hotel environment would be highly desirable.

This is an opportunity to play an important role within one of Cheshire’s leading luxury destinations, helping us create distinctive moments that become cherished memories.

Some specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise daily Reservations operations, ensuring consistently exceptional service.
  • Manage bookings, amendments, cancellations, and guest enquiries accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure guest preferences, special occasions, and key details are captured to personalise the stay.
  • Maximise revenue through upselling, rate awareness, and effective reservation management.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of rooms, packages, and resort facilities.
  • Coach and support Reservations colleagues in delivering Fairmont service standards.
  • Work closely with operational departments to ensure seamless communication and guest experiences.
  • Manage VIP, group, and special occasion bookings with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Resolve reservation queries and discrepancies, taking ownership through to completion.
  • Ensure payment, deposit, cancellation, and reservation procedures are consistently followed.
  • Support accurate reporting, administration, and guest profile management.
  • Champion LQA standards within Reservations, ensuring every guest interaction is warm, personalised, accurate, and consistently delivered to luxury service expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience within Reservations, Front Office, or a similar hotel role.
  • Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is desirable.
  • Experience within a luxury or upscale hospitality environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel reservation systems; Opera Cloud experience would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • Strong commercial awareness with confidence in upselling and maximising revenue opportunities.
  • Understanding of LQA or luxury service standards would be highly advantageous.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and guest-focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and peak periods where required.
