About the Role
SiriusPoint is seeking an ambitious, business-minded, performance-focused actuary to support the quarterly actuarial reserving process for the Syndicate. Reporting to the Head of International Reserving, this role will deliver high-quality reserving analysis, contribute to Solvency II Technical Provisions, and support internal and regulatory reporting for:
- SiriusPoint
- SiriusPoint London Branch
- Lloyd’s
The ideal candidate will collaborate across actuarial, underwriting, claims, exposure management, capital, and external stakeholders to drive technical excellence, improve reserving data, and ensure audit/validation compliance while shaping process efficiencies within an evolving business.
Responsibilities
- Conduct reserving analysis and peer-review work of less experienced actuaries
- Calculate Solvency II Technical Provisions in accordance with regulatory guidance
- Present reserving analysis and technical findings to senior management
- Ensure management and regulatory reporting accuracy for SiriusPoint Syndicate entities, including Lloyd’s requirements
- Develop process improvements with a focus on efficiency and adaptability to business needs
- Collaborate with pricing actuaries, exposure management, claims, and underwriters to maintain robust reserving metrics
- Work with auditors, consultants, and Lloyd’s to support Syndicate audit/validation tasks
- Provide technology- and data-driven inputs for internal model reserve risk assessment (Capital Team liaison)
- Commit to adhering to FCA Individual Conduct Rules as per Employee Handbook
- Perform other relevant duties as needed

Requirements
Qualifications & Certifications
- Outstanding academic track record and degree level qualification preferred
- Qualified actuary (CSO, FMA, or equivalent alongside a recognised actuarial society) or nearly qualified with aspirational examination pipeline
- Proven experience in general insurance reserving with familiarity of Solvency II regulations (bonus)
- Experience in Lloyd’s reserving process and market best practice is advantageous
- Strong database and statistical literacy and familiarity with:
- SQL ((merit))
- Power BI+ (merit)
