Neon Talent Solutions are proud to be partnering with an international insurance organisation to recruit a Reserving & Solvency Manager to join their Actuarial & Analytics function on a full-time, permanent hybrid working basis in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of Solvency UK and Solvency II reporting across the UK and European business. Working alongside the Head of Group Actuarial, you'll coordinate the end-to-end reporting process, provide robust review and challenge, and ensure regulatory reporting is accurate, well-governed, and delivered on time.

You'll bring experience from a non-life insurance environment, with a background in Reserving, Solvency, or Regulatory Reporting, and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders across the business.

About the Role of Reserving & Solvency Manager

As Reserving & Solvency Manager, you will take ownership of the planning, coordination, and delivery of Solvency UK and Solvency II reporting, ensuring regulatory submissions are accurate, well-governed, and delivered to agreed deadlines. Working across Actuarial, Finance, Risk, and external audit, you will review and challenge solvency outputs, investigate movements, support reserving reviews, and provide clear technical analysis to senior stakeholders to facilitate informed management decisions.

  • Managing the end-to-end Solvency UK and Solvency II reporting process.
  • Coordinating reporting activities across Actuarial, Finance, Risk, and wider business functions.
  • Reviewing and challenging technical provisions, own funds, capital requirements, and key solvency assumptions.
  • Undertaking reserving reviews to support technical provision calculations.
  • Analysing and explaining movements in solvency results, identifying key drivers, risks, and emerging issues.
  • Preparing high-quality reporting, documentation, and governance packs to support management and regulatory sign-off.
  • Working closely with the Head of Group Actuarial, senior management, and external auditors throughout the reporting cycle.
  • Supporting continuous improvements to reporting processes, controls, governance, and documentation.
  • Keeping abreast of Solvency UK and Solvency II regulatory developments and assessing their impact on reporting requirements.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday

What You Will Bring

We're looking for an experienced insurance professional with a proven background in Solvency UK and/or Solvency II reporting within a non-life insurance environment. Whilst an actuarial qualification is welcomed, it is not essential. More important is your ability to lead regulatory reporting processes, critically review results, and communicate technical information clearly to senior stakeholders.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Solvency UK and/or Solvency II reporting within a non-life insurance environment.
  • A solid understanding of technical provisions, own funds, capital requirements, and wider solvency reporting.
  • Experience managing or coordinating end-to-end regulatory reporting processes with multiple stakeholders.
  • The ability to review, challenge, and investigate solvency results, assumptions, and reporting outputs.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and governance mindset.
  • Experience working with senior management, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and regulatory deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using analytical and reporting tools to support regulatory reporting.
