Reset and Reintegration Mentor
Full time
Salary: £29,870 actual
Start date: September 2026
At Horizons Academy Bexley, we believe that positive relationships have the power to change lives. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Reset and Reintegration Mentor to join our pastoral team, supporting vulnerable young people with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to overcome barriers, re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes. Based within our Reset Hub, you will play a vital role in helping pupils develop self-regulation, resilience, positive behaviour and confidence through a trauma-informed, relational approach.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can build strong professional relationships, remain calm and resilient under pressure, and provide targeted support that makes a genuine difference to pupils' lives. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience or specialist expertise in areas such as ELSA, restorative practice, trauma-informed approaches, sensory regulation or therapeutic interventions. If you are passionate about supporting young people to succeed and want to be part of a committed, supportive and ambitious team, we would love to hear from you
About Us
Welcome to Horizons Academy Bexley, where every decision that we make is made with the best interests of the child in mind and focused on ensuring that all of our children and young people have the best possible experience whilst attending the school.
We do this by creating a positive learning environment, where each pupil feels safe and happy to contribute to the wider school community. We ensure that all pupils that attend Horizons Academy receive support to achieve their goals, whether that be towards positive outcomes at the end of Key Stage 4 and successful transition into Year 12 or an opportunity to be re-integrated back into a mainstream or specialist setting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
