Resettlement Officer (Fixed-Term Contract until 31/08/2027)

About You...

As a Resettlement Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families arriving through Government Migration Schemes to settle successfully and build independent lives within the community.

You will be organised, proactive and compassionate, with experience of supporting vulnerable people facing complex challenges. With excellent communication and relationship-building skills, you will take a person-centred approach, working confidently both independently and collaboratively with a wide range of partners.

A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion is essential, alongside a passion for empowering individuals to achieve positive outcomes and greater independence.

Working closely and creatively with local communities, voluntary and community organisations, childcare and educational settings and partner agencies, you will help identify needs and connect individuals and families to the services and support that will enable them to thrive.

As a Resettlement Officer, you will operate with a high level of care across all relevant agencies and services to ensure that children’s and adult’s safeguarding thresholds are adhered to, with particular regard to criminal exploitation, human trafficking and domestic servitude.

About The Team...

Our Resettlement Team is fast-paced, dynamic, and friendly, working together to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families starting a new chapter in the community. We are supportive, collaborative and passionate about delivering high-quality services, often managing competing priorities in a constantly evolving environment. No two days are the same and team members are encouraged to bring initiative, creativity, and enthusiasm to their work while benefiting from a strong culture of mutual support, learning and professional development.

Key responsibilities...

  • Provide resettlement support to individuals and families, helping them access housing, healthcare, education, employment, welfare benefits and community services.
  • Complete assessments and develop risk assessments and support plans to promote independence and successful integration.
  • Provide advice and practical support relating to housing, welfare benefits, healthcare, education, employment and community engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate effective support and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Monitor progress against support plans and take appropriate action to address emerging needs or risks.
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns in line with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, case notes and reports in accordance with organisational and statutory requirements.
  • Support individuals and families to access local services, build community connections, and develop the skills and confidence needed to sustain independent living.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of resettlement services and promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
