Derbyshire County Council, together with partner agencies in Derbyshire, is committed to supporting the resettlement of refugees across the County (excluding Derby City). The Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is comfortable with working in a dynamic and changing environment. The role will be based with the County Council's Community Safety unit and the wider Safer Derbyshire Partnership at County Hall.
Your Role
Your role as Project Officer within the Resettlement Team would be to assist in the coordination of the County’s response to refugee resettlement schemes such as the UK Resettlement scheme, the Afghan Resettlement Program and the Homes for Ukraine scheme. This will involve working internally and externally with partners on a wide range of issues.
This area of work can be complex and emotionally charged and requires sensitive yet firm handling at a variety of levels. Good communication and organisational skills in this role will be key to delivering a successful programme of resettling refugees in the County.

We are looking to recruit to a full-time position working 37 hours per week, (Monday to Friday).
