Our Vacancy
Could you help someone take the first steps towards a new beginning?
At Peabody, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home and the opportunity to build an independent future. We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Resettlement Officer to support people leaving hospital who may be homeless, seeking asylum, or facing significant barriers to housing and stability.
Based in a small, short-stay accommodation service in Stoke Newington, you'll play a vital role in helping customers settle into the community, develop essential life skills, and move on to longer-term housing. This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll build trusted relationships and make a meaningful difference to people's lives every day.
What You’ll Do
You'll provide high-quality housing management and resettlement support, helping customers gain the confidence and skills needed to live independently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting customers to settle into their accommodation and help them access benefits, healthcare, community services and other sources of support.
- Providing practical guidance on independent living, including budgeting, money management, healthy eating and maintaining a home.
- Work closely with hospitals, housing providers, support agencies and community organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
- Supporting customers to identify and move on to suitable long-term accommodation.
- Carrying out health and safety checks, room inspections and welfare visits to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Responding to safeguarding concerns and working proactively to manage risk.
- Maintaining accurate records, support plans and risk assessments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
