Citadines South Kensington is seeking an experienced and confident Residence Manager to become part of our Team.

You will report to the Operations Area Manager, leading the management team with the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.

As Residence Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the overall day-to-day operation of the residence, ensuring high standards of guest service, operational performance and compliance with company and brand standards.
  • Managing and developing the property team, creating an engaged, productive and positive working environment while supporting performance, development and career growth.
  • Taking ownership of the property’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll and achieving or exceeding agreed financial targets.
  • Driving guest satisfaction by analysing feedback, managing complaints effectively and implementing actions to continuously improve the guest experience.
  • Working closely with Sales, Revenue, Finance, HR and other support functions to deliver the property’s business plan and maximise commercial performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety, operational, maintenance and company policies and procedures, including effective crisis and emergency management.
  • Supporting the long-term development of the property, including sustainability initiatives, commercial relationships, maintenance of the product and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • At least 5 years’ management experience, ideally within the hospitality or serviced-apartment sector, including experience at Assistant Residence Manager or equivalent level.
  • Previous Front Office experience, with a good understanding of Revenue Management, budgeting, forecasting, basic accounting and P&L analysis.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop and engage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, senior stakeholders, clients and guests.
  • Highly organised, proactive and commercially minded, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure.
  • A solutions-focused approach, with the confidence and initiative to identify opportunities, resolve challenges and continuously improve the operation.
  • Strong commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience, alongside a good understanding of workplace health & safety and operational compliance.
