About the Role:
University College London (UCL) and the Wellington Hospital are recruiting to a Clinical Fellowship scheme which offers candidates an opportunity to study for a PhD in UCL’s Institute of Cardiovascular Science, while working at the UK's largest private hospital providing specialist complex care. Clinically employed at The Wellington Hospital in St John’s Wood London, part of HCA Healthcare UK. The Clinical Fellows will commence a programme to undertake a period of basic and/or clinical cardiovascular research at UCL prior to continuation of specialist training. This is a tremendous opportunity to jointly develop a research career while working between two prestigious organisations.

About the role:
This Clinical Fellowship is available to Specialist Registrars in renal medicine looking to undertake a PhD with an interest in the cardio-renal syndrome. This research project will be based at The Hatter Cardiovascular Institute which undertakes both pre-clinical and clinical research. Clinical Fellows will register for their higher degrees at UCL (part-time).

What you’ll bring:
- GMC registration and License to Practice in the UK, ideally with NHS experience
- Experience in Cardiovascular / or Renal
- Completion of Foundation Years training and additional 2-year minimum experience is preferable
- Full MRCP is required
- A passion to join our established diverse resident doctor team who focus on collaborative, holistic care delivered with compassion and empathy aiming to make a positive impact on every patient
