Resident Liaison Officer Colchester

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential for extension)

Location: Colchester, Essex

Are you an experienced Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) with a strong background in public sector housing projects? We are seeking a proactive, client-focused RLO to manage resident relations across a portfolio of local authority blocks of flats in Colchester.

The Role

You will serve as the primary link between the principal contractor, the local council/housing association, and the residents. Managing communication across multiple separate residential blocks, you will ensure major work programs proceed smoothly with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clear pre-construction notifications, project updates, and progress reports to residents.
  • Conduct home condition surveys, access visits, and respite care arrangements where required.
  • Handle resident queries, complaints, and access issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain clear logs of all resident interactions and site visits across multiple blocks.
  • Coordinate with site managers and subcontractor teams to maintain work schedules.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an RLO within social housing or public sector refurbishment schemes.
  • Strong knowledge of decent homes standards, major repair projects, or planned maintenance.
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites in the Colchester area.
  • Excellent conflict resolution, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
