Join Element Logic as a Resident Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in keeping cutting-edge warehouse automation systems running at peak performance for one of our key customer sites.
Element Logic is a leading provider of warehouse automation solutions and the world's first AutoStore partner. We are looking for a Resident Maintenance Technician to join our UK Service team, supporting one of our key customer sites in South Normanton, Alfreton. If you're a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, working with cutting-edge automation technology, and delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Resident Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a range of automated warehouse technologies, ensuring maximum system availability and performance.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Carrying out planned preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
- Recording maintenance activities using our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Producing service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Working closely with the customer's on-site operations and management teams.
- Monitoring spare parts and supporting inventory management.
- Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support to customer personnel.
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Good IT skills and experience using maintenance systems.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Experience with warehouse automation, conveyors, robotics, or material handling equipment is advantageous. MEWP (3A & 3B) and FLT (Reach/Counterbalance) certifications are desirable but not essential.
Working Pattern & Benefits
- Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week).
- Site-based role at South Normanton, Alfreton.
- Rotating three-shift pattern: Shift 1 (06:00-14:00), Shift 2 (14:00-22:00), and shift 3 (22:00-06:00).
- Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work (advance notice provided).
- Paid overtime opportunities.
- All tools and equipment provided.
- Ongoing technical training across AutoStore, AGVs, pallet automation, and other advanced material handling systems.

Please note: Due to the rotating shift pattern, applicants should ideally live within approximately 45 minutes of South Normanton, Alfreton.
