Job Description
Fairmont St Andrews is seeking a talented and professional Resident Pianist to create an elegant and memorable musical atmosphere throughout the resort. The successful candidate will perform live piano music in public areas, lounges, restaurants, bars, and selected special events, enhancing the luxury guest experience synonymous with the Fairmont brand.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional musical ability, a broad repertoire, and the confidence to engage audiences while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and presentation.

What You Will Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality live piano performances during scheduled shifts.
- Curate and perform a varied repertoire suitable for a luxury hospitality environment, including:
- Classical selections
- Jazz standards
- Contemporary arrangements
- Popular classics
- Seasonal and festive music
- Create an appropriate musical ambiance that complements the time of day, venue, and guest demographic.
- Work collaboratively with resort leadership to support special events, weddings, holiday programming, VIP visits, and promotional activities.
- Adapt musical selections in response to guest preferences and special requests where appropriate.
- Ensure professional appearance and conduct at all times, reflecting Fairmont's luxury standards.
- Arrive fully prepared for performances and maintain a reliable and punctual attendance record.
- Assist in developing unique musical experiences and themed entertainment offerings for guests and members.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding schedules, guest feedback, and special event requirements.
- Maintain the piano and report any maintenance or tuning requirements.

Qualifications
About You
Essential
- Formal piano training or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience performing in luxury hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, private clubs, or hospitality venues.
- Strong sight-reading and improvisational skills.
- Extensive and versatile repertoire suitable for diverse audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform confidently in front of guests and large audiences.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak holiday periods.
