Residential Activity Coordinator

Location: Mirfield (WF14)

Hours: Part-time roles (15 hours)

Hourly Rate: £12.81/hr

As our Activity Coordinator, you'll play a key role in enhancing the lives of the people we support by creating enjoyable, meaningful and person-centred activities that encourage participation, independence and wellbeing. Whether it's arts and crafts, sensory sessions, gardening, music, celebrations, community visits or trying something completely new, you'll help make every day engaging and rewarding.

About Holly Court

Holly Court is a vibrant fifteen-bed residential home located on our beautiful Mirfield site. Set within attractive gardens and green spaces, the home supports adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex needs. The people who live here enjoy a wide range of activities, trips out and community experiences, and you'll be at the heart of helping these opportunities happen.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Planning and delivering creative, fun and meaningful activities tailored to individual interests and needs.
  • Supporting adults to participate, make choices and achieve personal goals.
  • Creating and maintaining activity timetables and recording outcomes.
  • Organising celebrations, events and community-based activities.
  • Working closely with care teams, therapists and families to provide engaging experiences.
  • Encouraging social interaction, independence and confidence.
  • Evaluating activities and introducing new ideas to continuously improve the programme.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Creative, energetic and full of ideas.
  • Passionate about improving the lives of people with disabilities.
  • Organised, proactive and able to work independently.
  • An excellent communicator with a positive and professional approach.
  • Experienced in planning or leading activities, ideally within a care, education or support setting.
  • Committed to providing person-centred support and promoting choice and inclusion.
