Residential Architect Role
Residential teams are busy again, and the ones worth joining want someone who can turn concept into coordinated drawings without hand-holding. This is a residential Architect role on a hybrid basis in London, starting as soon as you can. The practice needs someone fluent in Revit who already works day to day across RIBA Stages 3 and 4.
You are joining a large, long-established London studio of more than 200 designers, working on residential schemes alongside wider workplace, hospitality and mixed-use projects. The focus here is design and delivery: taking schemes through developed and technical design, producing the model and the detail, and holding quality as the drawings firm up.
The Practice
You work from the London studio along the Northern Line, a three-floor space with breakout areas, a communal hub and cyclist facilities. Teams are director-led without rigid sector silos, so you gain breadth across building typologies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The Work
You work on residential schemes, set within a wider portfolio of workplace, hospitality and mixed-use projects. You take designs through RIBA Stages 3 and 4, from developed design into technical design. You produce coordinated models and detailed drawings using Revit as the primary BIM platform. You make regular site visits to understand the practical and technical sides of each project. You help hold design quality as schemes move from concept to construction information.
What You Need
- You are an ARB-registered Architect using the recognised title.
- You have hands-on Revit experience and can model and detail in it from day one.
- You are experienced across RIBA Stages 3 and 4.
- You are available to start immediately or up to one month notice period.
- You are comfortable in a studio that runs four days in the office with one day remote.
- Experience across residential projects would be preferred.

The Offer
- Hybrid working, four days in the office and one day remote.
- ARB and RIBA annual retention fees are paid by the practice.
- A nine-year in-house mentoring programme is open to all staff.
- Monthly software training, regular BIM CPDs and on-demand BIM support.
- A cycle-to-work scheme, employee referral scheme and a travel card loan.
Worth knowing before you apply: the studio wants an immediate start, however, the studio can work with a one month notice period. The office is four days a week, not a remote-first setup.
Here is what makes it worth the move. You get residential work inside a studio with real depth behind it: an in-house BIM team, a materials library and a model-making facility on site, plus the variety of a practice that runs workplace, hospitality and mixed-use alongside its homes. It is a place built for doing the work well.
