About the Role
You know how to run a successful estate agency branch. You can get the best out of experienced people, spot where the opportunities are and keep instructions, pipeline and performance moving in the right direction.
If you're ready to take real ownership of an established Residential Sales branch, this gives you the platform to do exactly that, without walking into a business that needs rebuilding.
The Package
- Guaranteed income of £42,000 in your first year
- Uncapped earning potential
- Earnings reviewed in year two with the opportunity to achieve the same, if not more
- Profit share linked to office profitability, structure to be discussed and agreed
- 25 days' holiday + Bank Holidays
- Potential parking support/additional flexibility for the right person
- Monday to Friday, 8:45am–5:00pm
- Saturday mornings on a rotational basis
- Long-term career stability within an established independent property business

Harte Recruitment is looking for an experienced Residential Branch Manager to take the reins of a profitable, high-performing sales office with strong instruction levels, an established team and a solid reputation in the Durham property market.
You'll have responsibility for the performance of the branch as a whole, combining commercial ownership with hands-on people leadership. From driving instructions and profitability to developing your team and keeping standards high, you'll be visible, involved and accountable for results.
The Person
- Previous Branch Manager, Office Manager or senior Estate Agency leadership experience essential
- Experience managing a busy Residential Sales operation
- Commercial understanding of branch performance and profitability
- Strong people-management skills with the confidence to lead an experienced team
- Hands-on, accountable leadership style
- Highly organised with strong operational capability
- Professional, reliable and confident communicating at all levels
- Comfortable working within established processes while driving performance
- Motivated by results and consistently high standards
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle preferred

The Residential Branch Manager Role
- Take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the Residential Sales branch
- Lead, motivate and develop negotiators, valuers and support colleagues
- Drive instructions, listings, sales activity and profitability
- Monitor pipeline, branch performance and operational standards
- Support prospecting, sales generation and progression
- Maintain a professional, organised and accountable branch environment
- Work closely with senior leadership to achieve agreed targets
- Ensure business processes and standards are consistently followed
- Provide visible, hands-on leadership
- Build on the branch's existing performance, reputation and market presence
