Role: Registered Care Home Manager
Location: Fern Brook Lodge, Gillingham, Dorset SP8 4QD
Salary: Up to £69,500 per annum (depending on experience) and quarterly performance bonus
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Care South is looking for an outstanding leader to join Fern Brook Lodge, our welcoming residential care home in Gillingham, Dorset. Rated Good in all domains by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Fern Brook Lodge has an established reputation for delivering high-quality care within a supportive and compassionate environment.

About The Role
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, operational performance and regulatory compliance of Fern Brook Lodge.
As Registered Care Home Manager, you will lead and inspire your team to deliver outstanding care while creating a positive, supportive culture where colleagues feel valued and residents receive the highest standards of person-centred care.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing team.
- Delivering exceptional person-centred residential and dementia care.
- Maintaining and enhancing CQC compliance and quality standards.
- Driving occupancy, financial performance and budget management.
- Leading recruitment, retention and colleague development.
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and the local community.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, wellbeing and excellence.
About You
We're looking for an experienced care leader who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a Registered Care Home Manager within an elderly residential, dementia or nursing care setting.
- A proven track record of achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
- Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
- Experience managing budgets, occupancy and overall home performance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and developing others.
