Residential Childcare Support Worker

Location: Langford, Bristol

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Specific Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary

  • Unqualified: Base salary of £27,866.34, earning up to £33,447.67 with sleep-in shifts
  • Qualified: Base salary of £29,181.57, earning up to £34,762.90 with sleep-in shifts

We're now recruiting Residential Childcare Workers to join our home!

About The Role

Based in one of our children's residential homes, you'll support young people with challenging behaviour, requiring flexibility, resilience, honesty and strong organisational skills. You'll be committed to delivering high-quality care that helps each young person achieve positive outcomes.

This is a permanent role with great career prospects and full training within a growing organisation. You'll work an average of 38 hours per week on a two days on / four days off shift pattern, including two sleep-ins. You'll also receive generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime and a performance-related bonus.

Essential Skills

  • A full UK manual driving licence
  • The ability to work independently with accuracy and maintain clear, organised records
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive team-player approach
  • Ability to complete daily records to statutory and policy standards
  • An empathetic, patient and supportive approach
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate and encourage young people

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with young people
  • A relevant Level 3 Children & Young People qualification, or willingness to work towards one, which will be fully funded by the employer
