Are you an experienced Residential Conveyancer looking to join a highly regarded regional law firm where quality of work, client care and long-term career development genuinely come first?

Express Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading and long-established regional law firm in their search for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their growing Sheffield office.

With an established presence across the nation, our client has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality legal advice to individuals and businesses across a broad range of practice areas. The firm continues to grow while retaining a genuinely supportive and approachable culture, with a strong emphasis on quality rather than volume and providing clients with a personal service. This firm is particularly well regarded within the legal sector, with a number of its lawyers and practice areas recognised by The Legal 500. They are also committed to investing in their people, offering ongoing professional development and opportunities to build a long-term career within the business. Rather than operating in a high-volume conveyancing environment, the focus is on providing lawyers with the support they need to deliver a high standard of work and client care.

Due to continued growth within their Residential Property team in Sheffield, they are now looking for a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX professional who can confidently manage their own residential property caseload from instruction through to completion. The successful individual will have autonomy over their files while working alongside an experienced and collaborative wider team, with support available from colleagues and Conveyancing Assistants where appropriate. This would particularly suit somebody who enjoys having ownership of their caseload but doesn't want to work within a conveyancing factory environment. You'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders and other parties, handling transactions properly and providing clear, practical advice throughout.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
