TSR Legal are delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded law firm with the appointment of an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their Cardiff office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong conveyancer who is looking to join a growing team and play an important role in developing the residential property offering.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in residential conveyancing and will ideally bring an existing following or network of professional contacts. However, we would also be interested in speaking with candidates who are commercially minded, confident building relationships and happy to network and develop their own caseload with the support of an established firm.
The Role
- Managing a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
- Acting across a range of sale, purchase, remortgage and property matters
- Providing a high level of technical and client-focused advice
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional referrers
- Contributing to the continued growth of the residential property department
- Identifying opportunities to build and develop your own caseload
- Supporting junior members of the team where appropriate
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
