Conveyancer Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual to join a like-minded practice. The role will see you join our Conveyancing team and manage a varied caseload of residential property matters. We offer flexible working in an expanding firm, offering career progression for the right candidate.

Purpose of the Conveyancer Role

To manage a broad range of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion. To contribute to our mission of establishing lifelong relationships with all our clients by anticipating and responding to their needs for quality legal services.

Responsibilities of the Conveyancer Role

  • Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters including:
    • Sales and purchases
    • Freehold and leasehold transactions
    • Transfers of equity
    • Re-mortgages
    • New build transactions
    • Shared ownership matters
    • Help to Buy matters
  • Maintain regular contact with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties throughout transactions
  • Take a proactive approach in building professional relationships with clients and other contacts
  • Maintain and promote the good image and reputation of the firm
  • Solve problems with a high level of initiative
  • Use the case management software efficiently

General Duties of the Conveyancer Role

  • Work in a flexible way to ensure that the workload is completed and to undertake any other jobs commensurate with the level of the post
  • Establish, maintain and enhance teamwork with colleagues
  • Keep confidential all information about individuals and the business and work within the guidelines of GDPR
  • Abide by our Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Anti-Money Laundering Policies and all other relevant policies

The Perfect Applicant

  • Prior experience working in a law firm
  • Experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent client care skills
  • Experience of working on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Experience of managing own workload, meeting deadlines and prioritising appropriately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A methodical and detailed approach with a high level of accuracy
  • Self-motivation, be proactive, forward-thinking and a team player
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Satisfactory DBS
