Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Residential Conveyancing Lawyer, based in St Albans with some flexibility to work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts.
- Conducting title investigations and searches.
- Advising clients on legal risks.
- Liaising with estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors.
- Ensuring all matters comply with regulatory and firm standards.
- Maintaining accurate file management and billing records.
- Providing clear, timely communication to clients.

Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer, or legal executive with demonstrable experience in residential conveyancing.
- Strong residential property law knowledge, including title review, searches, enquiries, and lender requirements.
- Excellent client care and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, accessible language.
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently, prioritize deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Competence in using case management systems, Microsoft Office, and digital tools to support file handling and remote work.
- Collaborative approach to working within a team, while being able to manage matters independently and take initiative.
- Strong ethical standards, commitment to compliance with SRA and firm policies, and a focus on delivering high-quality service.
- Experience in a client-focused high street or regional firm environment is advantageous; familiarity with the St Albans market is a plus.
