Residential Conveyancing Solicitor (NQ– 3 PQE)

Location: Galashiels

Firm: Leading Scottish Borders Firm

Salary: Competitive Salary

The Role

Buying or selling a home is rarely just a transaction for most people - it's a key moment that happens in our lives. And in a close-knit market like the Scottish Borders, reputation, trust, and relationships carry real weight.

This firm has built its name on exactly that. Known locally for its approachable, down-to-earth style and consistently high standard of work, it has become a go-to for residential property across the region. With a steady flow of instructions and long-standing client relationships, the team is now looking to bring in an additional Solicitor to support its continued growth.

In this role, you’ll run your own caseload from the outset, handling a mix of transactions including sales, purchases, remortgages, and new builds. You’ll be given the space to manage files in your own way, but always with the backing of an experienced team around you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
