Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm (5pm on Fridays)

The Role
We are seeking a hard-working and ambitious Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for managing a busy caseload of residential property matters, providing high-quality legal advice and support to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the continued success and growth of our conveyancing department.
- Handle a full range of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to post-completion.
- Deliver clear, practical legal advice to clients while maintaining the firm’s high standards of service.
- Contribute to the development and reputation of the department and firm.
- Supervise and support junior staff and secretarial team members.
- Make effective use of IT systems and administrative support.
- Ensure compliance with CPD requirements and firm policies.
- Liaise regularly with the Head of Department and other partners.
- Assist with business development initiatives and client relationship management.

About You
Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential conveyancing.
- Proven ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently and effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive team player with a commitment to excellence.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
Technology & Software
At Crane & Staples LLP, we embrace modern technology to enhance both client service and internal efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who is confident using IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office, and is keen to learn new tools. Full training will be provided on our suite of specialist legal software, including:
- Osprey Approach – Case management system for document production and correspondence tracking.
- Microsoft Office – Including Outlook, Excel, and Word for daily communications and document handling.
- Microsoft Teams – For internal collaboration, telephone calls, and video meetings.
- Form Evo – For completing and managing legal forms.
- InfoTrack – Our streamlined client onboarding platform.
- Various online portals – Used for interactions with courts and other legal authorities.

Attributes
The successful candidate will be a confident and experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. You will bring at least five years’ post-qualification experience as a Solicitor, with a proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently and efficiently. You’ll be someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills, and who takes pride in delivering clear, practical advice with empathy and professionalism. A collaborative mindset is essential, as is a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to the positive culture of the department. You’ll be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable using modern legal technology, with a genuine passion for client care and continuous improvement.
