Senior Residential Conveyancer / Solicitor
Location: Bristol Aztec West
Working Pattern: Office-Based
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + benefits
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:30pm
Part-Time: Considered
TSR Legal are pleased to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded law firm with a strong national reputation in the property sector, in their search for an experienced Senior Residential Conveyancer / Solicitor to join their Bristol team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential property professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and established legal environment. The successful candidate will manage a varied and manageable residential conveyancing caseload from initial instruction through to post-completion, while also taking on a degree of supervision and mentoring responsibility within the team.
The Role
You will work closely with the Legal Director and Head of Private Client Residential, taking responsibility for your own residential conveyancing caseload while supporting the wider team.
The role would suit an experienced residential conveyancer who enjoys client contact, has strong technical knowledge and is confident providing guidance and support to colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
- Providing a high standard of client care and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
- Dealing with transactions efficiently, accurately and within required deadlines.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders, estate agents and other third parties throughout the conveyancing process.
- Working closely with Legal Secretaries, Paralegals and Trainee Paralegals to ensure matters progress smoothly.
- Providing supervision, guidance and support to colleagues within the team, including stepping into a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Legal Director.
- Identifying and resolving issues proactively and taking ownership of matters through to completion.
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based client records.
- Supporting the continued development of the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Contributing positively to the wider team and acting as an ambassador for the firm.
- Keeping up to date with relevant legal, regulatory and technological developments.

About You
We are looking for an experienced residential property professional with a strong technical understanding of the conveyancing process and a genuine focus on delivering excellent client service.
You will ideally have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor, FCILEx or CLC Registered Conveyancer.
- 6+ years' PQE / equivalent experience is desirable.
- Strong experience handling a residential conveyancing caseload independently.
- A detailed understanding of residential property law and current conveyancing procedures.
- Excellent client care and communication skills.
- Previous supervisory, mentoring or team support experience, or the confidence to take on these responsibilities.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- The ability to work collaboratively with support staff and other fee earners.
- Confidence working in a pressurised environment while maintaining a positive and professional approach.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to adapt to new systems and technological developments.
