Residential Property Solicitor

My client is seeking a dedicated Residential Property Solicitor to join their reputable legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of residential property transactions, providing expert legal advice, and ensuring the smooth progression of property deals from inception to completion. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment. The position is suitable for individuals with a strong interest in residential property law and excellent organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and leasehold extensions.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documentation such as contracts, transfer deeds, and lease agreements.
  • Advising clients on legal rights, obligations, and potential risks associated with property transactions.
  • Conducting property searches, liaising with estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements throughout the transaction process.
  • Maintaining accurate case files and updating clients regularly on progress.
  • Assisting with business development initiatives to expand the firm's residential property services.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor (3-5 years PQE) or Licensed Conveyancer specialising in residential property law.
  • Proven experience managing residential property transactions from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently within tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT systems relevant to legal practice management and document drafting.
  • Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
