Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Fee Earner
We are looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Fee Earner to join our team and manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from initial instruction through to legal completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
- Handle all aspects of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
- Progress matters efficiently and accurately, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are kept regularly informed
- Provide clear and practical advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process
- Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, other solicitors and third parties
- Prepare and review legal documentation and ensure all necessary searches, enquiries and checks are completed
- Manage exchange and completion processes and deal with post-completion requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and case records using the firm's case management system
- Maintain high standards of client care, professionalism and confidentiality
- Work towards agreed billing, time recording, aged debt and other performance targets
- Take responsibility for credit control on your own matters, with support from the Accounts team
- Ensure compliance with relevant professional regulations, procedures and the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) where applicable
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders and professional contacts
- Contribute to business development and marketing activities where appropriate
- Keep up to date with changes in conveyancing practice and relevant legislation through ongoing training and professional development
- Supervise and support a Conveyancing Assistant, providing guidance on workload, performance and development
- Participate positively in team and departmental meetings
- Contribute to a professional, supportive and collaborative working environment

- Previous experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload
- Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process from instruction through to completion
- Experience dealing with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to manage your own caseload and prioritise competing deadlines
- A professional, proactive and client-focused approach
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience using a legal case management system would be advantageous
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team
