Purpose of Role
To manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, delivering a high quality, efficient, and client-focused service while contributing to the continued growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions including:
- Sales and purchases
- Remortgages
- Transfers of title
- New build purchases
- Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients in a timely manner
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
- Draft, review, and negotiate missives
- Ensure compliance with Law Society of Scotland standards and AML requirements
- Maintain accurate file records and case management systems
- Contribute to business development and maintaining client relationships
- Support and supervise junior team members where appropriate

Person Specification
Essential
- Qualified Solicitor in Scotland (NQ–5+ PQE)
- Experience handling residential conveyancing transactions independently
- Strong knowledge of Scottish conveyancing practice and procedures
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Desirable
- Experience of rural property transactions
- Familiarity with case management systems
- Interest in business development and networking
