FDL Kirkcaldy is seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join our well-established and growing firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in Scottish residential conveyancing who is looking to take ownership of a varied caseload while delivering exceptional service to clients across Fife and beyond.
The Role:
You will manage a broad range of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion, providing practical and commercially focused advice to clients throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload independently
- Handling purchases, sales, remortgages, transfers of title, and new build transactions
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other professional contacts
- Ensuring transactions progress efficiently and compliantly
- Supporting the continued growth and success of the residential property department
- Delivering an outstanding client experience and maintaining the firm's strong local reputation
- An opportunity to gain experience in commercial leasing, private client work, and matrimonial work

About You:
We are looking for a solicitor who can demonstrate:
- Qualified Solicitor in Scotland holding a current practising certificate
- Significant experience in residential conveyancing
- Strong technical knowledge of Scottish property law and conveyancing procedures
- The ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- A proactive, professional, and commercially aware approach
