Salford City Council’s Children's Residential Service are looking for a passionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of our OFSTED rated Good and Outstanding children's homes, providing a nurturing and supportive environment for Salford’s children. Your Mission
As the Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support and Lead: Assist the homes Registered Manager in the daily operations and management of the new home, ensuring high standards of care and support.
- Therapeutic Care: Implement and promote therapeutic approaches to childcare, creating a nurturing environment for young people.
- Staff Supervision: Oversee and mentor a dedicated team, creating a positive and professional culture within the home.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, striving for excellence in every aspect of care.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experienced Professional: You have previous experience working within children’s homes, with a solid understanding of residential childcare.
- Therapeutic Enthusiast: A passion for therapeutic approaches in childcare, with the ability to implement these strategies effectively.
- Qualified Candidate: A Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare is highly desirable. You will be required to undertake the Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare on successful completion of your probation period.
- Passionate and Committed: You are dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of young people, providing them with the care and support they need to thrive.

The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month.
