Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Candidate

Applications are sought from Solicitors or Legal Executives with 3:5 years PQE and proven experience in residential development, plot sales, or new build sales. You will have experience managing a varied caseload of residential transactions, including sales, purchases, and refinancing, together with the ability to deal directly with developer and SME clients. Experience drafting estate documentation would be advantageous, as would some commercial property experience. Previous supervisory or management experience is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be confident working independently with minimal supervision, highly organised, and able to manage a demanding caseload while meeting developer deadlines and targets.

The Firm

This opportunity is with a highly regarded full-service commercial law firm with a strong regional reputation and an established client base across the North West and wider UK. The firm offers high-quality work within a successful and collaborative property team, acting for a diverse range of businesses, developers, and investors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team where you will have genuine responsibility, quality client exposure, and the opportunity to play a key role in the continued development of the residential development practice.
